How we count the price
We are not comparing ourselves to Todoist, TickTick or Notion on this page - their prices render client-side only, and we could not reliably read them from markup. Instead, two products in the same class (a single window for planning your day) whose prices are stated directly in their pricing pages’ HTML.

Competitor prices checked August 24, 2026 from their pricing pages’ markup and explicit text. We refresh them at least once a quarter. On monthly billing, ToDowl Pro costs 3.1-4.9 times less than Sunsama and Akiflow; even comparing our regular monthly price against their discounted annual rates, the gap stays at 2.4-2.7 times.
Questions about paying
Can I use ToDowl for free forever, not just during a trial?
Free has no countdown. It is a permanent tier with its own limits: 3 projects, 3 lists in each and the last 24 hours of history - the calendar is not included at all. It is not a timed preview of Pro that eventually locks.
What is the difference between Free and a Pro free trial?
Free is its own tier, not a version of Pro on a timer. It does not convert to paid or lock after 7 or 14 days - you can stay on it indefinitely, just with lower limits.
What happens to my data if I do not pay for Pro?
Nothing gets deleted. If you ever move to Pro and back to Free, your tasks, notes, projects, habits and money records stay put - only the limits come back: 3 projects, 24 hours of history and no calendar.
What exactly does Pro open up?
The calendar entirely - Free does not include it at all; an assistant that plans for you; inviting people to a project with a link; unlimited projects and lists; folders for your projects; custom colours and icons; full activity history and priority support.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Yes. Pro billed yearly is $59.88, which works out to $4.99 a month instead of $6.99 billed monthly: 29% less per month for the same plan.
Is there a student discount?
Not a separate student plan yet. Free is already free with no time limit, and Pro billed yearly comes in at $4.99 a month instead of $6.99.
How does paying work?
Stripe handles the payment: the Pro button in the app opens Stripe Checkout, and the card, the billing period and cancellation all live in Stripe’s own customer portal. We never hold your card details.
